Formerly the Newton-Conover Auditorium is a 510 seat facility with Art Deco and Neo-Classical architectural elements. It was saved from demolition in 1991 by the combined efforts of the City of Newton, Catawba County, Newton-Conover City School system and combined efforts of thousands of school alumni and the citizens of Catawba County. This is one of only a few Art Deco Theaters in NC and the Southeast. This is a 501(c)3 Non Profit Organization. Currently, the Newton Performing Arts Center serves as a state of the art performance facility and available to the public for rentals. We also produces many popular events and attractions unique to our area for local and regional audiences!
