About: Learn the art of carving using soap. Caregivers are asked to stay and carve soap along side the child or learn to crochet a washcloth. Together you can make a great set!
LED Book Lamps
About: Learn the basics of paper circuitry by making an LED book lamp. The Learning Lab is available to library patrons ages 12 and up. A current Hickory Public Library card is required to use Learning Lab equipment. Patrons must sign the user agreement policy and participate in a free orientation session conducted by library staff before using the Lab.
Colorful Life Skills: Baking
About: Develop your baking skills by learning how to mix, roll, bake and decorate like a pro. We’ll make vegan sugar cookies and practice decorating with icing. A Hickory Public Library card is required to register for this program. If you need help with your card number, call us at 828-304-0500.
