Welcome to the Hickory Buzz!

If you’ve ever said, “I wish I had known about that event,” you’re not alone—and that’s exactly why the Hickory Buzz was born.

As the organizers behind popular events like the Hickory Christmas Show, the Hickory Women’s Expo, and the Hickory Home & Garden Show, we know how fun and meaningful local events can be.

But we’ve also felt the frustration of missing out simply because we didn’t hear about something in time. While there are plenty of great local resources, we saw the need for one joyful, centralized hub that brings it all together.

So, we’ve created the Hickory Buzz—a weekly newsletter and website dedicated to celebrating everything happening in the Hickory Unifour area, including Catawba, Burke, Caldwell, and Alexander counties.

What area does the Hickory Buzz cover? Is it just Hickory?

The Hickory Buzz covers a lot more than just Hickory, NC.  We include the whole Unifour area including Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, and Catawba counties.

Anyone! If you’re hosting or promoting a public event in the Hickory Unifour area, we welcome your submission.

We feature community events such as festivals, concerts, markets, workshops, classes, performances, charity events, yard sales, and more.  If it’s an event where the public is welcome, add it to our calendar.

Nope — it’s completely free to submit your event to the Hickory Buzz calendar!

We typically review and publish events within 24–48 hours.

Our calendar is focused on public events. If your event is private, we recommend not submitting it unless it’s open to the community.

The Hickory Buzz covers the larger Hickory Unifour area including Catawba, Burke, Caldwell, and Alexander counties.  If your event is outside of this area, but within driving distance and likely to interest Hickory locals, we may include it.
