DESCRIPTION:Join us to learn how Hart Square Foundation is preserving and sharing this national treasure. There’s something for everyone at Hart Square – from attending an event to learning an endangered craft to joining a group tour. \nPresenter Lorissa Vines is a Catawba County native who has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 20 years. Lorissa joined the team at Hart Square Foundation as the organization’s first Development Director in June 2022. She continues to share and preserve history through community outreach and philanthropy. \nStep back in time to the 1800s with an introduction to Hart Square Village\, the nation’s largest collection of historic log structures. Located in Vale\, NC\, the open-air museum consists of 103 structures built between 1760 and 1893. Once Bitten is a premier band honoring the legacy of Jack Russell and the music of Great White. The lineup features Tony Montana\, a former member of Great White during their heyday\, along with three long-standing members of Jack Russell’s Great White—Robby Lochner\, Dan McNay\, and Ken Mary—who have been playing together for the past 13 years “The band’s dynamic vocals are brought to life by two powerhouse singers—Andrew Freeman\, former vocalist for Great White\, and Terry Ilous\, also a former lead singer of Great White\, known for his work on two of the band’s albums. Audiences can experience performances from either singer or both in one night. Sharing a deep history and passion for the music\, the members of Jack Russell’s Great White have released three albums together\, with a highly anticipated release of new material on the horizon. \n  \nAbout: \nThe Newton Performing Arts Center is a historic Art Deco theater in Newton\, NC. It offers live performances\, concerts\, and community events in an intimate\, state-of-the-art setting. With a seating capacity of 504\, the venue is equipped with modern amenities\, including a full bar\, live music options\, and facilities for meetings and events. It prides itself on delivering “small town theater with big city entertainment.”
