During the spring season of field trips, a student asked, “Did the pioneers have ice cream?” As a matter of fact, they did!
Join us for a taste of history as we explore the evolution of ice cream from the 1700s to today. Learn about historic dairy farming practices and modern-day dairy farming, as well as the history of ice cream as a part of American culture and cuisine, taste a traditional ice cream recipe, as well as the modern Hart family secret peach ice cream recipe. This experience will culminate with a 3-flavor ice cream flight provided by Riverbend Creamery. ($20/adult; $15/youth 13 to 18, $10/children 12 and under)
