When musicians Zee Phoenix and Ronnie Williams met in 2014, the chemistry was undeniable – both on and off the stage. They formed the duo Chasing Phoenix and began playing local bars and open mic nights. With Zee on vocals and Ronnie on guitar/vocals, their unique musical style built a following in and around Charleston, South Carolina. Chasing Phoenix gives you a musical experience that has the unique ability to transport you back in time and then bring you right back to present day, all in one show. Summer concerts are a staple to the Valdese Summer schedule, and attendees come from all over to enjoy FREE family fun entertainment. The Town of Valdese hosts this series to bring family fun entertainment downtown. Visitors and locals make plans on Friday nights to enjoy time with family, friends, and neighbors while they enjoy various genres of music from regional bands. The Valdese Family Friday Nights Summer Concert Series celebrates the summer on Friday nights from June to August. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy a different regional band each week.
