Drendel Auditorium in Hickory, NC, is a cozy venue renowned for its superb acoustics. Featuring a roomy stage, it presents diverse performances including concerts, plays, and ballet dances. The building itself was originally constructed in 1925 as Claremont High School and later became Hickory High School. In 1984, it was designated as a local landmark by the City of Hickory and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Following its closure as a school, the building was repurposed into the SALT Block complex .
